Yeah Ana, you are right, there is NO wealth inequality in communism in countries like: Cuba, Venezuela, China, Vietnam, & your beloved Nordics who have less of a population as USA. Another area that I support you in is how Biden actually LOWERED consumer prices, sarcastically speaking, before Trump took office? I am not sure I get it - hold on - there's more. You are right again, to handle the Iranian crises, we should give Iran money in a briefcase and plead with them not to build nuclear weapons? Really? You are a left leaning Independent, not Independent, just admit it. Lastly, how are you ever going get rid of Wealth Disparity? Every economic system, unless it's fantasy land, there are always going to be the "have's" and have-nots". More laws and higher taxes are going to keep the "working people" down.
0
1mo
There was a time when wealth inequality went down. That's when we had high taxes.
Surely inequality should stabilize so that the shares are equal.
The only solution is redistribution.
I mean this idea that the conservatives have people are just lazy is a farce with AI taking over everyone's jobs. I can't maintain that fiction any longer. You have to have distribution of some sort.
1
1mo
@AnnoyingCritic-is7rp - With AI, UBI is inevitable. My question to you is, who's distributing tax revenues to people who need it? NGOs, Non-profits, & Community Organizers. These communists in capitalistic clothing and greed get paid first, and after they spend their money on Capitalist/Materialistic goods, only those who need it most, get the scraps. Do all these intermediaries commit fraud? No. I know people who own these intermediaries and they dont commit fraud. However, when you have Cali coming out with Shirley Act, it makes you wonder. I hope Supreme Ct protects Free Press and that includes Trump excluding CNN, MSNow and the other Fake News Outlets. Furthermore, we need direct deposits of funds to the poor, not middle-people, it's too corrupt. If they spend more than they take in, what do we do then? Act as collector to get money out of the poor if extended credit? Nobody talks about financial planning for UBI recipients. Yes, when it comes to taxation and redistribution, you are talking Eisenhower & Truman 90% tax era. Ironically, according to AI, it was the Revenue Tax Act of '64 that Kennedy himself put together before his death that lowered taxes and increased wealth to the working poor because the taxes at that time were stifling growth FOR THE POOR. Look at how, in relative terms, tax reduction creates more jobs and ability for poor to gain more wealth opportunities. All research aside, most, but not all, the billionaires became wealthy coming from lower-to-middle class backgrounds. Only in the USA and very few countries, do the people have a chance to win vs. UBI. There also WAY more loopholes for the wealthy in the 50s to circumvent the 70% tax brackets they were subjected to. Nobody, even the poor, want to live in a stagnant economy. Instiutional investors will take their money elsewhere, only for the likes of Mamscammie, to depress prices only for the capitalists to come back in 25 years later and buy NYC and USA at pennies on the dollar, when people are tired of having their 401ks running stagnant, will the fall of communism in USA take place.

They don’t consider white Puerto Ricans white either. They don’t get that. Being 50-70% white does not make you white in America, but a lot of Hispanic people pride themselves on how much they’ve whitened the race. Amongst themselves, they are white. Outside of themselves, they are not.

@chetdudeweb707 I think you should reevaluate any fondness you have for "democracy." Its truest definition is "The organized oppression of minorities." Because that is the only possible outcome of a system where the majority makes all decisions.
What is valuable is liberty, the ability of an individual to make decisions for oneself. Liberty may or may not contain some amount of democracy, but the key element, as I've stated before, is voluntary participation. Liberty means that an individual can stop contributing when they don't like the results of the democracy and contribute to what they do like.
Trying to make people participate in something they don't want to be a part of is what authoritarianism is. Even when it's what the majority wants.

That’s because LeBron’s achievements are cumulative but Curry has more artifacts of single game events. He won that Olympics… so that Jersey matters. As does the unanimous MVP. He has the all time 3point ball and the single season 3 point record ball.

That Jersey ISSSS the gold medal.

bro New York fans in the comments😂 A fully healthy ‘21 Nets would absolutely sweep the Knicks, at the very least in 5 or 6. Maybe you don’t understand it. Kyrie, greatest ball handler ever and top 5 finisher of all time, hit the game securing shot over curry and beat the 73-9 warriors, KD, arguably greatest pure and efficient scorer of all time and 2 time Finals MVP and former MVP, as well as Harden, arguably greatest iso scorer of all time, all healthy. And don’t forget that only reason Nets didn’t win the championship was cuz Giannis put his foot under Kyrie and KD sadly got his foot on the 3pt line, and Harden was playing at 50%. Also, the Knicks played in an East that had been in the worst shape it had been in years, even analysts agreeing with this. Riddled with injuries and missed games, such as Haliburton, Tatum, Giannis, Dame, etc. The Nets would put this series to bed easil. Another point: Don’t forget that Brunson was the only player on the Knicks averaging over 23 points in both regular and postseason, while all 3 of the Nets core averaged over 24 points.
2
1mo
Brother you aren’t even reading my comments if you can’t even see why I’m bringing up the last few seasons. I said the East was noticeably worse this time around than previous cuz of injuries and missed playing time from multiple stars and that’s why the Knicks made it so easily to the conference finals, similar to how the Celtics blew past the East in 2022 cuz of constant injuries to their opponent teams, but clearly you didn’t read that, and are trying to deflect by bringing nonsensical topics into the conversation that don’t need to be brought in. Also, you clearly don’t know how injuries work if you think a wrist injury was comparable to Harden’s 2021 Grade 2 Hamstring strain, which he was forced to play through with no recovery time bc Giannis put his foot under Kyrie and got him injured, leaving KD with barely any help and a massive load to shoulder, so is that simple enough for you to understand, or maybe you need some more explanation?
1
1mo
@Jm0ney1042 Not an actual argument. KD is more efficient on way less volume, which isn't in his favor, while MJ is posting elite rTS on otherworldly volume and consistency across a huge sample size of games without an elite secondary scorer, as a guard. MJ in the playoffs is averaging 43.3 per 100 possessions with only 4 turnovers; KD is averaging 36.8 with 4.1 turnovers per game, with far less of a playmaking burden than MJ had (7.4 AST to 5.2) and more elite scoring personnel around him. This is also across 179 playoff games (MJ) and 171 games (KD), so the sample size is about the same. A +6.5 scoring gap in the playoffs clears KD. The gap between Jordan (1) and KD (6) matches the gap between KD and Demar Derozan (47). KD against elite coverage usually decreases his volume and can't mitigate the turnovers as well as MJ; his best series against a top defense, I'd say, was against the 16 Spurs, but then he has a bunch of nasty series such as the 13 Grizzlies, 22 Celtics (painful), and 24 Wolves. MJ against elite defenses maintains his high volume with a low turnover rate (93 Knicks with Starks, Mason, and Ewing under that rim, 96 Knicks, 96 Finals, Pistons matchups), and his worst series clear KD's worst series. The regular season isn't even a question: MJ clears KD in the regular season, and being a 3-level scorer doesn't make KD a better scorer when MJ, despite mostly eliminating the 3 in the regular season and shooting a decent volume of 3s in the post, still has more counters and scales better.

In fact, some of those same guys went to the spurs and lakers and won a championship as depth pieces so you can’t tell me he didn’t have talent or the competition was unfair. 😂

There's no evidence that Filgueiras caused the crash. You're being awful.

It’s not an accusation. It’s a fact. If you are ok with a teenager piloting a plane (or a 20 year old), that’s your choice. I will always prefer an experienced pilot, even more so if I’m traveling with my children.
